This is one of “The Swamp Fox” better albums. Theres a great deal of stylistic variety at work in the songs. More acoustic guitars than electric and theres not a note out of place in any of the playing or the deft arrangements. From the opener "Ive Got A Thing About You Baby" that bounces joyfully with the anticipation of a new romance to "Beouf River Road" which has lively percussion including a Jews harp that throbs like a swamp frog to “The Migrant” and the lovely ballad "The Gospel Singer."
