Allt - Ataraxia
Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album »From The New World« in 2024, which illuminates social breakdown, survival and humanity through a fictional post-apocalyptic lens, Allt have announced their second album »Ataraxia«.
»Ataraxia« marks a new phase in the band's development: the album is anchored in reality and draws directly from the lives of the band members, such as personal tragedies, relationships, exhaustion, longing, relapses, clarity and the moments in between. The songs function as fragments of memories and states of mind and form an anthology of the journey towards silence. The album presents »Ataraxia« as a place of longing: it is not an end point, but a state that you approach, that you inhabit for a moment and often lose again.
Musically, Allt continue to develop their characteristic sound of modern progressive metalcore and place greater emphasis on emotional space and restraint. The aggression remains, but is now in direct dialogue with vulnerability. The result is Allt's most intimate, human, and honest work to date. "With ›Ataraxia‹ we wanted to write from the place where we actually live. These songs are fragments and retellings of our own experiences, the burden we carried, the things we saw and did, and what we faced on our own journey to maturity as human beings and the search for peace and stillness in our lives. ›Ataraxia‹ is about learning to stay present in everything that unfolds in your life.«
Allt is a progressive metalcore band from Karlskoga, Sweden, formed in 2020. Known for their audiovisual storytelling and innovative approach to metalcore, the name Allt – which means "everything" in Swedish – reflects the band's philosophy: never to limit themselves to genre boundaries, but always to deliver conceptually rich compositions inspired by the world around them, as well as stories and myths that have been told since time immemorial.
